Christmas tree

There are many answers to the question where the Christmas tree comes from. From ancient times by the Romans and Greeks, as a sign of hope that life will continue after winter. One reads also here and there that the tradition of Christmas tree decorations goes back to the Yule of the pagan Germanic tribes. It is certainly handed down that the Germanic tribes, just as the Romans and Greeks before them, brought branches of conifers and other evergreen plants into their homes as a symbol of eternal vitality and worshipped them. Our tree is allowed to stand outside until Christmas Eve, after which it is festively decorated with baubles, garlands, candles and also apples and candy canes, the packs are placed underneath, after which we look forward to the cosy hours we will spend with all our loved ones in front of the illuminated Christmas tree.
