During a walk through the forrest between may and october mushroom-enthusiasts should keep an eye out for the “gold of the woods”. Especially when you are in an open forrest with loose mossy ground. You can find the delicious ‘Eierschwammerl’ mostly close to spruces, fir trees and beeches. If just sautéed or prepared as a goulash - ‘Schwammerl’ are always a delicacy.
